A notification for recruitment of 4000 Constable (Armed / Executive) posts has been issued by J&K Police. Permanent Residents of Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply against said vacancies. Those candidates who want to apply for this post should have passed Class 10th Examination from a recognized Board and should not be less than 18 years and not more than 28 years as on 01/01/2015. No. of Vacancies: Executive Police - 1000 Posts (OM-570, RBA-200, ST-100, SC-80, ALC-30, Social Caste-20), Armed Police - 3000 Posts (OM-1710, RBA-600, ST-300, SC-240, ALC-90, Social Caste-60). Number of Vacancies is tentative and it may vary.
Qualifications: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board.
Age Limit: 18 to 28 years as on 01/01/2015.
Physical Standard: Height-5’-5” for Male, 5’-2” for Female. Chest-32” (Unexpanded) and 33 ½” (Expanded) for Male. For Ladakh Region and Gorkha Candidates – Height-5’-4” for male and 5’ for female. Chest-32” (Unexpanded) and 33 ½” (Expanded).
Pay Scale: BP-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Rs.1900 GP
Selection Process: The process of selection comprises Physical Endurance Test, Physical Standard Test and Written Examination. Only those candidates who qualify in PET and PST will be called for written examination which will be of 100 Marks. Written examination will be 2 Hours. Questions of this test will be of 10th standard.
Application Fee: Rs.300 in the form of Demand Draft / Postal Order from any of branch of J&K Bank / Post Office. Payable to Chief Accounts Officer PHQ, Payable at Jammu/Srinagar.
How to Apply: Candidates can apply only in the district to which they belong. Eligible candidates should deposit their duly filled in application form in the office of respective District Superintendents of Police where application reside. Migrant candidates settled out of valley in Jammu Province should deposit their application form in the district police offices where they are presently settled. Those candidates who are residing / working outside the state should submit their application in the office of “SSP CID Cell (Address: 11, Harish Chander Mathur Lane, Near Max Muller Bhawan, KG Marg New Delhi – 110001”. Candidates can submit their application at above mentioned address on or before 15/10/2015. Application must be accompanied with copies of following documents.
