SSC Junior Translator & Pradhyapak Exam Pattern

Written Examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Translator and Hindi Pradhyapak will be conducted on 08/06/2014. Those who successfully
qualify in this test will be called for interview. Selection of eligible
candidates will be made on the basis of performance in Written Test of 400
Marks comprising of two papers and Interview of 100 Marks. Paper-I of written
test will be objective type and paper-II will be Conventional Type. In the

Questions in Paper-I will be designed in order to gauge
candidate’s understanding regarding language and literature, phases and idioms,
correct use of words etc. and it will be of degree level. Paper-II will be conducted to
test candidate’s translation skills. Paper-I carries negative marking, 0.25
marks for each wrong answer will be deducted. So be careful while answering the
questions. Paper-II of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in
paper-I.
Interview: 100 Marks. Those candidates who
qualified in Paper-I and II will be called for Interview (Personality Test). It
will be organized at Regional / Sub Regional office of SSC or any other
place which may be decided by the commission later. Candidates belonging to
reserved category such as SC / ST will be paid Traveling Allowance for appearing
in interview. However, no other candidates will be paid TA to attend written test.
