SSC Recruitment of Stenographer Grade C and D 2013 Part-I Registration till 24/10/2013

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) once again has issued a notification for the recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade C & D in pay band 2 & 1 respectively. For which, commission is going to conduct a Combined All India Open Examination on 29th Dec-2013 which is actually known as “Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination 2013”. 12th passed candidates are eligible to apply for this job. The commission is accepting application through online or offline both modes. Go through the detailed notification for more detail in this context

Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’
  • Qualifications: Class 12th Passed or equivalent from a recognized board. Those candidates are also eligible to apply who have not acquired educational qualification & documentary evidence from the board but they will acquire it as on 01/08/2013.
  • Age Limit: 18 to 27 years as on 01/08/2013. Relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST is 5 years, for OBC is 3 years. Note: The same date of birth will be accepted as mentioned in the Class 10th / 12th or Equivalent Certificate.

Selection Process: In addition to objective type written examination, the process of selection for the job also comprises Skill Test in Stenography with the speed of 100 WPM for Grade-C and 80 WPM for Grade-D. On the basis of performance in written examination will be called for Skill Test. Written Test will be of 2 Hours carrying 200 Marks. The post carries AISL, i.e. selected candidates for the job can be posted anywhere in the country.

Application Fees: Rs.100 which will be paid as CRFS (if applying in paper application) / SBI Challan or through NET Banking (if filling up online application). There is no fee for SC / ST / PH / EXS and all women candidates.

How to Apply: Application for the post of stenographer can be filled up offline or online. If applying Offline in Paper Form, a duly furnished application in all respect with CRFS (if applicable) must reach the concerned address which has been mentioned in the detailed notification by the date 26/10/2013. In case of applying online, candidates can fill up online application by visiting the website http://ssconline.nic.in. Part-I of online application can be filled up till 24/10/2013 (5 PM) and Part-II can be fill up till 26/10/2013 (5 PM) through the said website.

Guideline to Apply Online: You just need to visit http://ssconline.nic.in, it is better to open the site in Internet Explorer, go to “Part-I Registration” under “Examination” Tab, open the link placed under “online form”, fill up application form with proper details and submit. After submission of Part-I application, note down Registration Number and take print out of challan for payment (if applicable). Now visit the same website, this time go to “Part-II Registration”, put registration number and date of birth and submit, upload photograph and signature and submit. You can also pay application fee online through NET banking in Part-II Registration.
