Staff Selection Commission popularly known as SSC is going to conduct All Indian Open Examination on 29/07/2012 for the recruitment to the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’. Online or Offline application for this Job will be filled up till 25/05/2012. Aspirants who have filled up online or offline application for this post will be invited for Written Examination on 29/07/2012. The Pattern of Written examination for the recruitment to the post of Stenographer is being described in a few Lines. Selection Process: Selection Process of Stenographer job comprises of mainly two stages such as Written Examination and Skill Test in Stenography. Eligible Candidates will be invited for Written Examination scheduled on 29/07/2012 thereafter Skill Test if they are qualified in written examination

Written Examination: All Indian Open Examination for the recruitment to the post of Stenographer will be held on 29/07/2012. The Examination will be completely objective type and there will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions carrying of total 200 Marks. Candidates will be given 2 Hours to finish this Examination which will be from 10 am to 12 Noon. Visually Handicapped Person will be given total time duration of 2 Hours and 40 Minutes for completing this written test. Have a look on the following tables to make this out clearly

Skill Test in Stenography: Only those candidates will be eligible for Skill Test in Stenography who successfully qualify in written examination. SSC will stipulate different qualifying Marks in Skill Test for Different Categories. The Test will consist of Dictation for 10 Minutes in Hindi or English at Minimum speed of 100 WPM for Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 WPM for Stenographer ‘D’. Candidates will also have to appear for Transcription Test on computer for Stenographer C & D Post, See Below…
  • Stenographer ‘C’: 50 Minutes (English) & 65 Minutes (Hindi)
  • Stenographer ‘D’: 40 Minutes (English) & 55 Minutes (Hindi)
