Introduction: For the Recruitment to the Services / Posts in the Disciplines of Civil Engineering (Category-I), Mechanical Engineering (Category-II), Electrical Engineering (Category-III) and Electronic & Telecommunication Engineering (Category-IV), UPSC is going to conduct a Combined Competitive Examination on 15/06/2012. Eligibility Criteria for UPSC, Engineering Service Exam, 2012
  • Age Limit: 21 to 30 years as on 1st Jan, 2012. In Case of Govt. Servants, The Upper age limit will be 35 years. Candidates who belong to SC/ST will be relaxed in age upto 5 years and OBC upto 3 years

Exam Pattern: UPSC, Engineering Service Exam 2012 includes Two Parts; Part-I & Part-II. Part-I Comprised of Two Selection; Section-I & Section-II. Section-I will consist of Objective Type Questions and Section-II will consist of Conventional Paper. Part-II will be Personality Test carrying of 200 Marks.

Written Test will be of 1000 Marks, out of which Objective Papers Carry 600 (200 + 200 + 200) Marks and Conventional Papers carry 400 (200 + 200) Marks. The Papers in Objective Type Exam and Conventional Type exam will be different for all the 4 Engineering Disciplines

Mode of Payment: All the candidates, except SC/ST/PH/Female, are required to pay of Rs.100 for UPSC, Engineering Service Exam, 2012. The Fees can be paid in cash to any SBI Branch or by using Net Banking Facility of SBI or its associate Bank or through Debit/Credit (Mater/Visa) Card.
